Re: Nettles infusion and Belly Ache!! Ouch!!
Hi Heart teller, If nettle makes you feel sick, perhaps you should just not drink it???? Perhaps their is a sound reason your body doesn't like it right now? Maybe you could come back and try it again some other time.... Oh, Susun recommends adding salt to nettle infusion to improve the flavour, rat...

Re: What Herbs
Hi, My first thought too was "it depends".... it depends on your lifestyle, any particular health issues that you might have, who you are going to be sharing your herbs with... So I'd 2nd the idea of stocking up on the nourishing herbs like oatstraw and red clover.... something I would get...

Thanks Zephyr, looks like our little orchard is a regular bone yard... first my daughter's placenta, a tree of remembrance for my mother and now we'll add some teeth too!

Re: Wart removal

Now the wart is almost unrecognizable (nearly at the same level of the skin rather than protruding as before) and going sort of black. the doctor said it didn't look like a wart to him, and couldn't give any treatment except recommend an antib...

Re: Wart removal
After Day 4 the wart is looking a lot redder and a little fragile. Unfortunatly the skin around the wart is also very irritated. I've stopped the treatment now so hopefully when we go to the hospital tomorrow she won't be too sensitive, and they'll be able to evaluate her situation properly. Accordi...

Re: What's in your garden?
Personally, the only herb I freeze is basil, in a home made pesto sauce. If I want t o keep herbs or plant material for medicine I generally dry it, or put it in a tincture.... I think alot depends on the individual plant but freezing wouldn't be my first option. In my little garden we've got a pome...

Hi Aunt Thora! I'm Melissa.... I started using this website after reading "The childbearing year" in 2007.... I'm based in Italy where there are lots of wonderful herbs but not so many Wise Women to utilize them.... the things I really love are travel, gardening, and poetry. See you around!

Re: Osteoporosis- vegan diet and a three step plan
I enjoyed this post too... I can't help wondering what Susun Weed's take is on the vegetarian diet???? This is especially interesting for me as I have just read a book encouraging people to raise their children on a raw food vegan diet.... Well my gut reaction was "hum, maybe a little extreme&q...

Wart removal
My 3 year old has a wart on her leg. We've already got an appointment to see the hospital about removing it (it's quite red and seems to be growing) when I read a few days ago that warts can be treated with the juice from unripe figs. We have loads of green figs around at the moment, so have started...
