Re: menopause and sex!

Good morning again RoseRed! I do have a thing or two from Adam and Eve and they are very helpful. But I was really just spouting off - my husband and I have a routine that works for us, it just doesn't happen daily or anywhere near it. Which is fine. I never heard the "seven orgasms a week"...

Re: Upcoming colonoscopy - any herbal advice?

Thanks RoseRed, I didn't mean to make you go beyond your comfort. I appreciate the time you've taken with this!

I am just glad that I am allowed a few things with calories, like apple juice, because I don't do well not eating....

Re: menopause and sex!

At this stage of my life (63 years old, 11 years past menopause) the idea of 7 orgasms a week sounds about as likely as growing wings!

Oh well, a girl can dream, right? ;)

Re: Upcoming colonoscopy - any herbal advice?

What teas would you recommend? Would lemon balm be OK just as a tea?

Re: Upcoming colonoscopy - any herbal advice?

Thanks. I'm really thinking of "infusion" in the meaning of water-based and I will definitely make sure anything I drink is free of solids. I' m thinking lemon balm for one. Probably save soothing mucilaginous teas for afterwards (marshmallow and so on) huh?

Upcoming colonoscopy - any herbal advice?

I have managed to evade having my second (routine, age-related) colonoscopy for an extra year, remembering how horrible the prep for the first one was (liquid diet then all-night purge, for those of you who haven't been there). But it's coming up on Monday and I'm pretty nervous. I'm only allowed to...

Re: Childhood Eczema

I love plantain. I am allergic to bee stings, and the last time I had one, yes, I did take benedryl, but I also chewed up a plantain leaf and stuck it under my sock on top of the sting. The moment I did that the itch went away. Long before the benedryl had time to work.

Re: What to use instead of echinacea

I have my very first tincture of Usnea (also known as Old Man's Beard) working in the pantry. I gathered it with my niece who wanted a closely related lichen for dyeing wool; you have to look closely to tell some of those tree lichens apart. What I have been told is that you have to let it sit for a...

Re: Chaga

Kezzie, I think that's part of the whole mindset of our culture, which is too bad. True health is slow and subtle.

Oh, and I think I'm going to do my first double extract with chaga. Exciting!
