Hi Amy, I believe it is a VERY Heroic approach to health - based on the idea we are toxic with chemicals/minerals and need to be purged of them, have them chelated out http://www.aboutchelation.com/oral-chelation.html
. So aside from how it affects the health, I would question the premise behind that, and the need then to believe you are/ she is dirty. In Susun Weed's article on Heart Healthy Lifestyle
she does not mention this as an option. I have heard though about seaweeds
helping to remove excess radiation and metals when absolutely needed. i would question an assumption because of her location and heart conditions that this is an issue, THOUGH also explore that idea because it does seem important to consider. If I came to the conclusion there were heavy metals that needed help being removed, I would strongly favor the well-proved seaweeds before chelation (http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/ ... 5451/print
) and pay attention to my attitude about my/her body and its inherent health that is beng nourished with this wild sea vegetable!
