Get Your Hands on the Herbs - Harvest and Prepare Them as Medicines Yourself, on Over 50 Beautiful Acres in Woodstock, NY

The Wise Woman Center in Woodstock, NY, is home to a great variety of plant life. It is also home to Susun Weed, world renowned herbalist and author and a spokesperson for the Wise Woman Tradition. Here she teaches people who come from far places to apprentice or just take a one-day class on plants, health and women’s empowerment!

This year, Susun will be leading her annual class on how to prepare herbal medicines yourself. Long-time teacher of empowering our health choices by harvesting plants local to us, Susun also prefers to teach us to take charge of our health by preparing our own remedies and wild foods.

~~NEW THIS YEAR - The class will run five times to best access the seasonal varieties - SPRING, EARLY SUMMER, LATE SUMMER, AUTUMN, and WINTER~~

If joining this class, you will identify, harvest, prepare, and use (and eat!) a variety of local wild herbs. Prepared will be herbal oils, tinctures, vinegars, and perhaps even honey. The delicious lunch provided will also be a treat to local wild food fare.
