Green Goddess Apprentice Week 2004 - Report

Postby BrynneMorgan » Sat Aug 28, 2004 12:56 pm

Well I've gotten back home, and settled in. I had a wonderful time at the WWC!

We had 6 Women there for the week, plus one women that could only stay for 1/2 the week (she had gone to the first GGW in July and wanted more!) Pluse one live in apprentice,of course Susun was there and Marie was there for 1/2 the week.

I stayed in a tent that someone had abandoned there (thank You, whowever you are) and a couple of the women brought tents. The rest stayed in the studio. The weather was pretty nice. only rained one night and day.

We did alot of different things. We all picked Goddess archetype to work with and a plant ally. First thing in the morning we did Movent Meditation exercises. 2 days we did Seven Directions Movement Meditation with WhiteFeather ( really liked that one and got the CD so I could really learn it) and the rest we did Chi Kung with Marie.

Then we ate breakfast. By the time we were done with breakfast, Susun was done with her morning chores and we had talking stick. Susun would tell about the infusion we were drinking, plans for the day and such and we would go around and say whatever we wanted and tell everyone about our Flowering plant of the day (Susun taught us some botony and gave us field guides and showed us how to use them and we identified a plant a day as a project)and Then we would follow the goats as they foraged. We would learn about different plants we came apon, subjects like botony, Herbal first aid, WW Medicine wheel...

Then was lunch and some more time with Susun, learning even more things. And then dinner.

After Dinner we did an assortment of thing, Mon night Susun did tarot readings for us all, the next we sat out on the deck and listened to her give telephone consultations. We went to the Teepee on Weds and made a fire and sang songs, THurs we did yoga, had a moonlodge on Friday, and did our Goddess play on Saturday.

On Saturday SUsun had a lecture, so in the morning Marie taught us about Glamour and in the afternoon Gretchen came with her snakes. We had a lot of fun dancing with her large snakes and holding the littleones. (some babies she brought along) and learning about them.

Sunday we had a ceremony and green witch initiation for those that wanted.

It was an incredible week. It went by fast, but also felt like I had been there forever. The women were wonderful and supportive, the land was rough and beautiful. Susun's teaching was awsome. We had quite the assortment of food, help picked weeds for our salads and we took home a few new recipies. I could go on and on, but the computer might explode! I've just got to say, it was a trip well worth taking!

Thank you for sharing, I know it's been a while and things have probably changed but that sounds amazing and I think I've finally made the right decision, I'm going to go next year!

Many thanks,
Phoenix
