Woman's Edible and Medicinal Garden Destroyed

Postby Jadeswan » Sat Jun 16, 2012 7:40 pm

Has anyone else heard about this? In Tulsa, Oklahoma a woman's garden of edible and medicinal plants was wantonly destroyed by city officials. http://www.newson6.com/story/18802728/w ... ble-garden This breaks my heart. How could they steal and destroy her medicine and food?!

We are surrounded by clueless 'authorities'...actually we are surrounded by CLUELESS hoards....ZOMBIES are loose everywhere and nothing and no one is safe

Last Fall while in the city dropping son off for his college classes DH and I watched a woman sneak into the yard of another. We were wondering why this woman was acting so strange, then we saw her dash to an onion patch, pull up several and then dash off. We then saw her return, walk back and forth on the sidewalk and then dash into the yard and pull up more onions

Teatime, it would be lovely to send her things! I think it would be awesome to see an outpouring from herb lovers around the country. I'm trying to get in touch with her to find out about her wants and needs. If I'm successful, I'll ask her permission to post an update here for anyone else who is interested.

Lady Alinor, that is shocking about the onion snatcher! It's hard for me to understand the mindset of people wanting to destroy something so benign and useful as a garden.

So heartbreaking! And by the looks of the comments on that news site, she has a lot of local support.
I would like to help, too.

I'm sorry. Although I tried to contact her I haven't heard anything back and I'm not sure what else I could do at this point. It may be she has all the help she needs. I really don't know. I wish I had more information for you.
