So I have realllly been wanting to find mullein to make the infamous ear oil for the hubby, as he gets ear aches often. Today we were foraging a new area and found verbascum nigrum, dark mullein. According to a Swedish site, as well as Henriette's, the two are interchangeable.
Has anyone had experience with verbascum nigrum?

No first hand experience (earache free family), but yes, I think the two are interchangeable. I was always taught they were, at least.

I didn't really notice the violet hairy stamens until I got it home and took some pictures. Love this plant! You carry Mother Earth within you. She is not outside of you.
