I have taken a fall and have *hurt* myself in a big way. My entire backside if very bruised and I have severe muscular pain in my lower back and hips. I have been advised to apply arnica gel.
Any thoughts on this?
Thank you, Robbyn

Yes, hurry and get it on. It works wonders for bruises, sprains and strains as long as the skin isn't broken! Hope it works its magic quickly on you!

Ditto..ditto..arnica and St. John's applied. Compress, oils, gels... I learned a neat thing once too--my mother fell and had a horrible saucer bruise on her bum...our chiropracter suggested placing a sliced onion (any type) on it immediately. It really draws and takes out the discoloration and swelling. Good reason to keep onions on hand....just slice it up (rings or slices) and stick that right on the area. A friend also fell and sprained her ankle bad---onion was the only thing she had handy. She did that and the next day she went ahead to get it x-rayed for fear it was broken. The ER doc told her he was amazed and had never seen such a bad sprain not swollen and puffy....she aid it was the onion.
I've used homeopathic arnica tablets and St John's tincture internally too for aches and pains.
