I think as with anything it's a matter of balance. I've never heard that one shouldn't consume ginger or cinnamon daily - I did actually hear that about licorice somewhere, but they were talking about therapeutic levels rather than culinary use. I don't know how much would be too much, but I have gone through periods of drinking a cup of licorice or ginger tea (as opposed to a stronger infusion) daily. And I don't think that using a small amount of any of these to add flavour to food would be too much, even if daily.
But one can have too much of anything.
I'll be interested to read what other people think.

They're better used in small blocks- say a few weeks for acute conditions and then a rest. Like Italianbee said, the culinary amount will be much less so not so bad in the case of your cinnamon.
I'd say listen to your body and if you're better with cinnamon for the time being, then I'd continue.
