thanks leaf!

so you still use the same amount of yeast then, right? i was hoping that the kombucha would be able to leaven the bread without using regular yeast... but i will certainly try it! next batch will be in a few days. will let you know! :D

I love this cookbook too...I make the soup stocks and just love them and they are so good fer ya! The Price Pottenger site goes along with the Weston Price site... http://www.price-pottenger.org/

The ginger carrots were great but I'm so paranoid about botox in canning that the lacto-fermentation recipes take an act of courage for me LOL.

Has anyone tried the supplements they discuss? They have a source for the really good cod liver oil and the x-factor butter oil but I haven't tried it.

My keratosis pilaris (arm bumps) has started clearing up after taking codliver oil regularly. Nothing else has ever helped.

persimmon, I looked up that skin condition, and thanks for putting a name to it. (I have it on my upper arms. But I've just recently started noticing it, and it's getting better through exfoliation.) At least if it doesn't go away, I have something else to try.

I have made a couple of batches of beet kvass, after someone said it was good for one's liver.

Here's what I have noticed:

Not as much bloating/gas
Hot flashes seem to be subsiding somewhat
I feel better in general

I have been taking this for about 2.5 weeks now. I don't know if the 'simmering down' of my hot flashes is an anomaly or not - but right now - I am just glad they are!

Oh, I have lost a couple of pounds, too ;-)

Blessings!

I love the NT cookbook. I am also considering buying Garden of Eating. I *think* it goes along the same ideas.
