Correspondence Courses with Susun Weed

Postby Wise Woman » Fri Feb 22, 2008 12:22 pm

Hi there Karen,
Thanks so much for your email!
I'm really looking forward to starting this course.
I've taken a workshop with Susun, many years ago-
Focus on Fertility, and while there conceived our twin
boys- very fertile energy that weekend! I love Susuns
book sand have used them for years, and am looking to
immerse myself in many of our local plants that I
don't pay attention to. I find that over ten years
I've incorporated certain plants into everyday use-
but would like to awaken myself now to the others,
that slipped past! I want to take this course to keep
me conscious of paying attention this summer, and
going deeper....
I'm so looking forward to it!

Thanks for your time Karen, and I look forward to
receiving my package! Yay!
warm wishes,
Wise Woman

Hello Susun,

I am very interested in learning how to identify, grow and utlize herbs (for medicinal and dietary purposes), especially the ones that are native to the northeast and grow in my backyard. For this purpose I looked up the course offerings on your website and they all looked so good!

The Green Allies Correspondence course seems to suit my needs at this point in time…

In addition, the Green Goddess Apprentice week intensives apeals to me too. …

… Thanks for all the information on your website.

Blessings and joy to you,
Wise Woman

Adoring Susun Weed and the Wise Woman Traditions Course

Postby Wise Woman » Mon Jun 16, 2008 11:48 am

Hi and Greetings to all,

I've been lurking for the past two weeks, soaking in all you have had
to say on my daily digests, and I figured it would be about time I'd
introduce myself.

A little history:

First, I'd like to say (brag?) that I actually had the intense
pleasure of meeting Susun Weed and eating lunch with her at the
same table when she did an all day talk at Jocelyn Allen's in Ontario.
If Susun reads this, I was the one wearing the brilliant orange dress with little mirrors all over it.
Anyway, I found her to be completely amazing, energetic (all that nettle I presume) ,
intense, intelligent beyond wise, and so much more, I'm hooked on Susun!!!

Finally Im in a position financially to start taking her
correspondence courses, so I started with the Wise woman tradition
one. Seemed to fit where I am currently. I've been studying both the
medicinal and metaphysical uses of herbs, trees, plants in general and
crystals too since I was a teen (now thirty-eight) and there is so much more
for me to learn. I am too a Green Witch, to the general public though
I say Im an esoteric non-denominational spiritualist, but I've been
Wiccan for as long as I can recall. My paternal Grandfather was a
chemist and botanist and my mother a nurse, so the healing field is
naturally come by (besides, aren't all women healers anyway???)

I got my first book for my course yesterday (yippee) I was so very
excited, I opened it up, and Susun had autographed it addressed to
me, I actually cried. Not sure why, guess that I was stunned that
someone I respect so much took the time to do that for little ole
me. :-) I showed my two girls ( ten and eleven - both green witches
too) when they came home from school, they thought it was too cool.

Well now I'm off to start reading my first Susun Weed book.. Bright
Blessings and Green ones at that, to you all, and aren't we the lucky
ones to have found a person like Susun Weed!!!

Keep smiling.

Hi Susun-

Over the years I have taken a number of courses for my own study. I took a correspondence course with Rosemary Gladstar and a 4 month hands on course with Wendy Fogg at Misty Meadows. For the last 4 years I have been in a state of transition and other then making my own tinctures , teas and salves, I haven’t been growing herbs or harvesting them. I would like a jump start and would like to take one of your courses.

They all sound wonderful …
Blessings

Dear Susun,

I started your Green Ally course on June 7, 2005. It's been two years and I just restarted this year's herbal garden. My journey thus far with Rosemary has been interesting. Because I have twenty some odd years of shamanic/witch training, when I first started this course I figured it would be quick. One season and I would know all Rosemary had to offer. I now realize this is a lifelong journey.
I would like to make a second installment payment. …
I have had...some very intuitive communications developing with my plant friend/s. My journey has been wonderful.

Sincerely,
Wise Woman

I have received a very high recommend from a wild
edible specialist in northwestern MA for Susun's courses. I am interested,
and they are very reasonably priced (including the conference with her), so
now I have to choose between the wild edible side of the coin (food rather
than medicine, although I think the two sometimes are the same!), and these
wonderful herbal preparations that look very worthwhile to learn about
through Susun….

Thanks again,
Wise Woman

I can't tell you how eager I am to begin the course. I've been studying herbs for about 12 years now (mostly self-taught with a few years of Australasian College of Health Sciences correspondence thrown in), but honestly Susun's teachings resonate with me more than anything I've ever experienced. I learned more in one day at a workshop with her than in months with others (that day truly changed my life). I had a very hard time deciding between ABC and Green Witch as my first course, but hopefully I've made the right decision. I'm so looking forward to studying each herb with Susun "by my side".

Many Blessings,
Wise Woman

Greetings,

I am very drawn to the Shamanic Herbal Apprenticeship… My friend and "adopted daughter" is beginning one of your courses and has asked me to start it with her (Sarah Kedell-MD). She's very excited and it’s a really good thing for her right now.

I look forward to hearing from you and possibly being a part of something very special.

HI-
I'm in New Mexico and have been thinking of doing one of your correspondence courses…

I really like that you make it easy with monthly payments of $50 automatically withdrawn -- this makes it so doable for me!
