Does anyone here have experience with infusing seaweed? I love eating it, but recently read about how it can really be good for skin externally as well, and I wanted to make it into some form of moisturizer. The only simple way I can think of is infusing it with oil, but was wondering how it works- for how long, heating or no heating... any input is appreciated ladies!

Some seaweeds can be used as emulsifier in the water part of creams. I'd never heard of anyone infusing it in oil, but found this: "Infused oil - Macerate 500g dried bladderwrack overnight in 500ml sunflower oil. Heat in a waterbath for two hours and strain. The oil is traditionally used externally for arthritic joint pains or rheumatism."

I've wondered the same...got as far as a tincture made of Irish moss and glycerine. I think I wanted to try making it into a shampoo. I never used it though glycerine is sticky silly me. Maybe tincture it with witch hazel or alcohol. And add it to the distilled water portion?
