Confused with herbal abortion

Postby neilamoon » Wed Oct 05, 2011 1:10 pm

Firstly, hello to everyone I'm new to this forum just came here because I'm new to using herbs and really need some help.

Okay, I was expecting my period Sept. 25th and didn't really think I was pregnant ( only had sex once with the pull out method (I know it can still happen but we were really careful) ) but it was a no show. I waited 5 days and still nothing by this time I'm kinda freaking out. For so many reasons I cannot have this baby...I know I should have thought about this before I had sex. But anyway, I read that parsley and vitamin c can help with late periods as well as induce an abortion. I didn't have any vitamin c without bioflavonoids so I tried a parsley pessary and 4 cups of parsley tea throughout the day ( this was on the sixth day that I was late ). After 12 hours when I removed the parsley pessary there was a small amount of blood on the parsley. I put another parsley pessary in and went to bed. I had pretty intense cramping throughout the night and when I removed it after 12 hours there was a normal flow. At this time I thought oh great it was just late and stopped taking any more herbs. Then during the day there was just light spotting and then nothing. I'm really worried. I haven't taken a pregnancy test because I don't know if that was it and it's removed or if it's dead or if it would show up on the test that I am pregnant even though it's out of my body. When should I take a pregnancy test? Should I continue taking vitamin c and parsley? I'm sorry...I'm just really freaking out. Any help is appreciated.

Take a test. Dollar Tree has them for $1. It's hard to answer your other questions without knowing that your test says.

Hugs.
I believe I will never quite know.

but looking, and touching, and loving

Pregnancy tests are pretty accurate. They measure the current amount of hcg in your system. I you did indeed cause a miscarriage the hormone levels will drop quickly - within a day or so.

Thanks for the replies.
Yesterday I went out and bought a pregnancy test and some more parsley and vitamin c which I took it all day (2000mg vitamin c every 2 hours) and throughout the night. When I woke up I was pretty dizzy and no sign of any period. I finally did the pregnancy test and was relieved that it came out negative but I'm still worried. Would the vitamin c or parsley interfere in any way with the pregnancy test? If they could how long should I wait before I take another test? And if the test is right then I don't know what's up with the one day period...that's never happened before. =(

Do you have a clinic you can go to to get a blood test done? You could tell them you think you've had a partial miscarriage. Use your discretion in talking about the Vit C and parsley.
It's all good (except for the crappy bits).

The vitamin C and parsley shouldn't have any effect on the test itself.

You could take another one the next day.

The problem with partial miscarriages is that if the body doesn't clean itself out all the way it can cause scarring. This scarring can cause miscarriages in the future.

The Vitamin C or parsely shouldn't interfere with the pregnancy test. As to what's up with the one day period and that never happening before, well it sounds like you've never used a parsley pessary before either and the parsley did what it was supposed to do. It could well be that there's another reason for you having a delayed period so the parsely caused a light one day period. I'd suggest you wait another day or two and then do another pregnancy test for confirmation.

If it's a partial miscarriage will the test be positive or negative or either?

When I miscarried the pregnancy test said negative but the blood test showed a very low amount of hcg. Too low for it to show up on the stick test. They could tell that the pregnancy was already ended by the really low levels. If I had waited another day or so the blood test would've shown totally negative too. A lot of it is timing.

I know you said you waited 5 days after your period should've started and bled on the 7th or 8th day after that but how long has it been since you had sex?
