Using Herbs Simply and Safely...by Susun Weed

Susun Weeds latest Newsletter, has a couple of great articles, this one is especially important in my mind http://www.wisewomanmentor.com/wise-woman-ezine/5969879 and page 2 http://www.wisewomanmentor.com/wise-woman-ezine/5969883
I especially appreciate the lists of herbs she shares for each 'action' like the nourishing & tonifying herbs.....I had no idea that Honeysuckle flowers can be considered nourishing, I learn something new everyday.
Here is another of Susun's articles this one is about Nourishing Infusions and again Honeysuckle flowers are mentioned (I wonder why that hasn't stood out to me before since I am overrun with Honeysuckle) http://nourishingherbalinfusions.com/herbs.html.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine Honeysuckle is used for clearing heat and toxins

Some of the other plants listed under the nourishing category we are beginning to see the first early Spring awakenings....Astragalus, Chickweed, Dandelion, Red Clover, Nettle, Comfrey, Oatstraw, Violet, etc.
Sitting down with each herb and learning about it as an individual with 'many talents' really opens a world of possibilities, herbs are so multifaceted, working in all of the dimensions, (the 3 we can preceive and the 4th being 'time') I don't know that we can fully grasp their full potential, oh some herbalists get to achieve that level of understanding, they are the ones that have allied with one herb and that one herb works for each and every 'ailment' they apply it to, differences in preparation bring different results, just as Susun states in her writings about health through simples.
